Nate was great, but I wished he had been less oblivious about how his insistence on using the word ‘hook-up’ was affecting Keenan, especially when he read Keenan so well any other time. That said, I loved that Nate took Keenan out and took care of him when he needed it. These two were fantastic together when they were in sync.

If an author thinks they’re unlikeable, I know readers are going to agree. It feels so real to me and it’s one I can relate to with my own little brother. It’s also nice to have a few scenes with the couples from the first two books. These are my favorite kind of series, where each book moves on to a new couple and leaves the HEA of the previous couples alone. The story is told from Keenan’s point of view, which made it easy to like him.

I quite enjoyed this book, which has an apt title because it’s a lovely slow-burn romance. Although this book is the third in a series, I was told it could be read as a stand-alone.
I rather enjoy it, partly because I believe we should all have fun. So sometimes I will sing and so on and try and make a bit of a show of it for them. Ultimately it’s a sweet love story, with moderate angst, realistic dialogue and multi-dimensional characters. Revisiting with the couples from the previous books was also nice, especially since their lives are somewhat intertwined. The author’s characters aren’t perfect specimen, but feel like real people, the kind you might meet in your local tavern, so to speak.
